Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo (Review): A Tiramisu Treat
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo is a fragrance for men released in 2016. It’s a sweet and warm cologne, renowned for a distinct tiramisu accord. I’ve owned Uomo for years, and since become addicted to its café goodness. I think it lives up to all the positive feedback and today I’ll explain why.
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo smells like tiramisu sweetness and creamy woods
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo contains sweet notes, cardamom, pepper, orange blossom, ambroxan, tonka, and sandalwood.
Uomo sets off with a surge of sweetness. Naturally the sweet notes are responsible, producing a rich coffee-like, tiramisu aroma.
Spices are present too, bursting from underneath. They smell like cardamom and pepper. The duo emits spirited energy, with the pepper giving a masculine lean.
As Uomo develops you’ll notice further ingredients emerge:
- Orange blossom – infuses a touch (only a touch) of citric freshness, bringing balance to the tiramisu opening; and
- Ambroxan – thickens the mixture through immersion in a synthetic, musky warmth. Also, it begins directing the scent in a creamier direction.
Once Uomo dries down, tonka and sandalwood arise. They replace the spicy, syrupy coffee with a deeper, creamy sweetness. Additionally, ambroxan continues delivering intense warmth to support the pairing. It feels like a more polished version of Halloween Man X.
In summary, Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo smells like sweet tiramisu, uplifted with spices. Following that, ambroxan and orange blossom supplement the blend with density. Finally, it transforms into a fusion of creamy, sweet woods and tonka.
Check out the comments of this reviewer:
I’m a millennial woman. I smelt this on a guy friend. And I was hypnotised. This is silky, scrumptious, rich tiramisu. Stupidly sexy. I LOVE the smell of tiramisu, and on a man? Irresistible. Then I rushed to smell this on a tester card. As time passes it just gets creamier, deeper and more alluring.Fragrantica.com
Respectable performance for the price
Uomo has respectable performance for the cost. That’s a pretty consistent theme across Salvatore Ferragamo scents.
Specifically, it projects eagerly from skin for 3 hours, before resides closer for further 4. Therefore, expect roughly 7 hours of total longevity.
In addition, there’s no need to get trigger happy here. A couple of sprays is all that you need to start an enticing scent bubble.
For casual and romantic wear
Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo is suited to casual situations. That includes errand running, coffee catch ups, and social events with friends.
Furthermore, its tempting nature ensures an effortless fit for romantic dates and late night rendezvous.
Conversely, it isn’t the most formal cologne I own. Valentino Uomo Intense is worth reaching for in business or classier situations.
Seasonally, Uomo is compatible with cold and moderate weather. It penetrates the chilly air, drawing curiosity from those around you.
In Conclusion – Salvatore Ferragamo Uomo
To conclude, Salvatore Ferragamo might be my favourite designer coffee fragrance available.
It’s headlined by a delicious tiramisu note, noticeable far into the scent’s progression. Afterwards, a creamier sweetness takes over, wrapped in the ambery warmth of ambroxan.
Performance is solid, as is versatility.
Accordingly, coffee and dessert lovers must add this to their buy list.
