Polo 67 finally made me do it… (Review)
Resistance was futile. I popped my Ralph Lauren cherry with Polo 67. I’ve smelled several Ralph scents before, including the iconic Polo Red. However, the greatness of Polo 67 forced me to finally pull the full bottle trigger. 67 is a fun, casual, aromatic scent and one of the best designer releases this year. Let’s go over the details!
Here’s how Polo 67 smells.
Polo 67 contains notes of bergamot, lemon, pineapple, sage, juniper, vetiver, and patchouli.
On first spray the aroma smells refreshing and sweet. There’s a burst of citrus freshness coming from bergamot and lemon. Additionally, pineapple provides a vibrant fruity aspect.
Soon afterwards the aromatic accords emerge. It starts with sage, producing an aromatic, green and slightly herbal smell. There’s also juniper, providing a bracing, almost piercing fresh spiciness.
These mid green notes were totally unexpected. They add complexity and an invigorating energy. Something that’s pretty rare amongst stock standard designer scents.
Then, Polo 67 fully dries down. At this point, lots of the citrus and pineapple have dissipated. I pick up vetiver, which comes across quite woody and clean. Patchouli is also here, although it’s subtle. It increases the depth and gives off small, earthy hues.
Polo 67 doesn’t reinvent the wheel. There’s no ultra creative, artistic masterwork here. It doesn’t stray too far from other ‘blue’ fragrances like YSP Y EDP Intense or Valentino Yellow Dream. However, it is different enough to pique my curiosity. And I don’t ask for much more these days.

What do others think?
Here’s a few reviews I found on Fragrantica:
To be completely honest, I’ve never been a big fan of the Polo line. But this is a solid fragrance. Fresh, citrus-sy, aromatic, and clean. The pineapple and vetiver really shine, at least to my nose, with a nice little balance coming from the bergamot. This is definitely a fragrance most people will enjoy.
I read the reviews and I disagree. It doesn’t smell like the average blue fragrance. For my nose it’s a fruity, sweet and a bit fresh summer fragrance. Currently my favorite scent, but sadly it doesn’t last very long. Good price for the quality tho. 4.7/5.
Rating the versatility and performance.
Polo 67 is versatile. I’ve been wearing it casually, out running errands and at the gym. Also, if you’re a mature guy, it’ll work in a laid-back office environment. If you’re a younger guy, it’ll work for class and university. 67 transcends age groups and takes on the character of its wearer.
However, if you’re spraying for date night there’s other seductive colognes I prefer. Like the masculine Boss Bottled Elixir or the renowned Dior Sauvage Parfum.
As for performance? It’s modest. On me it lasts for 6 total hours, projecting out for the first 3. Pretty much bang on what I was expecting.
I popped my cherry with Polo 67.
Polo 67 is my very first cologne from Ralph Lauren and won’t be my last.
It exudes a vibrant, fresh and sweet aromatic vibe. Then, it settles as a calm, predominantly woody aroma.
67 doesn’t introduce anything drastic. Nevertheless, it’s memorable and lively enough to arouse my interest. Especially at this affordable price point.
The benchmark has been set. If Ralph Lauren keeps releasing juice like this they’ll be sending me broke.
