Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme: My Review
Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme is a popular men’s cologne that was released in 2012. Earlier this year, I was fortunate to buy a bottle of this fragrance. Since then, I’ve worn it on many occasions through various seasons. For the next few minutes I’m going to share with you my honest thoughts on if it’s worth buying this year.
Cologne Notes
Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme is a woody, aromatic scent for men. The key cologne notes include mandarin orange, mint, pepper, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood, and cedar.
How Does It Smell?
When I first spray this fragrance on skin, I pick up a light, crisp mint accord. Also appearing early on is a sweet, nutty tonka bean accord. The third note I can smell early is mandarin, adding citrusy freshness to the composition.
The scent becomes very creamy as it starts to dry more on skin. The sandalwood accord comes into play alongside the masculine pepper note. Sweet tonka undertones remain in place as the fragrance develops smoothly.
The musk and woods take the driver’s seat as the scent fully dries on my skin. Additionally, the sweet, creamy and pepper accords play a supporting role.
This cologne is quite addictive – you may not want to turn your nose away. There is something elegant & enjoyable about this scent, those around you will be intrigued to come closer.
The scent profile is hard not to like. I can’t say that everyone will love it, but it would be difficult to find anyone offended by this.

Longevity and Projection
After my personal testing I’ve concluded that I get moderate performance out of this scent. Off my skin it projects out 1-2 feet for the first 1-2 hours. Then, it becomes a skin scent for a further 4 hours after that. Performance isn’t the strong suit of this scent. It’s not strong, but it’s not weak either – it falls somewhere in the middle.
Occasions and Versatility
‘Eau Extreme’ is a very apt name if you’re using it to describe the ‘extreme’ versatility of this fragrance. This scent is a superstar in this category, it works well for so many occasions.
Well dressed men can wear this scent in smart casual situations or in office business attire. Furthermore, I personally use this cologne as a gym scent too – it’s a great all rounder.
Check out what this reviewer thinks of this scent:
It has a fresh citrusy minty opening and dries down to a warm cozy deep tonka. Very smooth, very high quality, very well blended, and very versatile. I don’t know if this is art, but it’s very wearable and enjoyable.

The mint and woody notes make this best for guys 20+. If you’re under 20 and want a minty, fruity scent with a playful element, Versace Eros might be a great choice for you.
Should You Buy Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme?
Updated: I own a bottle of Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme and would highly recommend you look to own one too.
The mandarin and tonka give it a sweet, fruity and playful vibe. However, the mint and woody notes give it an air of maturity when you mean business. This cologne will adapt nicely to whatever situation you are in.
With moderate performance and impressive versatility, this scent will be an inclusion in my fragrance collection for the foreseeable future.
