Mont Blanc is one of my favourite fragrance houses which creates excellent, affordable designer scents for men. In today’s article, I’m going to rank my Top 3 Mont Blanc cologne that I wear often and are absolutely worth checking out!
3. Mont Blanc Emblem
Emblem is an aromatic & spicy cologne release from Mont Blanc.
This unique scent contains notes of grapefruit, cardamom, violet leaf, cinnamon, tonka bean, and woody notes.
When I first spray Emblem, I immediately pick up the citrusy grapefruit and sweet cardamom notes. As it starts to dry on my skin, the freshness of the violet leaf comes into play, followed by the warm spicy sweetness of cinnamon, tonka and woods.
This interplay of spiciness and sweetness is present throughout the life of the fragrance and just works together really well.
I feel quite cozy wearing this and I also get a vibe of simple sophistication due to the grapefruit and woods.
This natural and unique scent won’t be going out of style anytime soon and I recommend it to any age group!
Coming in at #2 is one of my top fresh aromatic scents, Mont Blanc Legend!
Legend is a popular release from Mont Blanc and contains notes of lavender, pineapple, bergamot, dried fruits, oakmoss, tonka and sandalwood.
When first sprayed, I can immediately smell the freshness from the bergamot and fruity pineapple, The lavender is also there and adds a clean & mature element to the scent.
The scent evolves and becomes more complex when it dries. The oakmoss adds a woody touch, blending nicely with the lavender. Additionally, the sandalwood adds a creamy backbone to the scent alongside the subtle sweetness of the dried fruits and tonka!
Legend is incredibly versatile and any man aged 20+ can pull it off easily! Additionally, it also distinctly reminds me of the niche cologne Parfums de Marly Percival.
Mont Blanc Explorer takes the #1 spot and is my absolute favourite Mont Blanc scents!
Explorer exploded in popularity when it was released in 2019. The fragrance features notes of bergamot, pepper, vetiver, leather, woody notes and patchouli.
When I first smell this fragrance on skin, I get a pleasant aroma of the mature citrusy bergamot and pepper notes. Afterwards, these slightly fade to accommodate the vetiver, leather, patchouli and woods which give it a sense of mature mysteriousness.
This cologne reminds me a lot of Creed Aventus. But unlike Aventus, Explorer stays fresh throughout the life of the fragrance. The freshness just subsides a little as the scent dries on skin.
Explorer is one of the most versatile and mass-appealing modern day fragrances a man can own. I like it so much that I did an in-depth review on it.
