Parfums de Marly Kalan smells like strong spices and green earthy woods

Parfums de Marly Kalan contains pepper, spices, blood orange, lavender, moss, woods, and amber.

A spicy blast is what you’ll notice immediately in the opening. Vigorous pepper is here, mixing amongst assorted other spices too. They smell more hot than warm – think chilies instead of cardamom. Immediately, the spicy dominance will show you why this cologne is so divisive.

Supporting the spices is blood orange. The orange, too, contributes a burst of energy straight out of the gate. Also, it adds some tangy sweetness that mingles behind the spices.

Opens up very spicy. Borderline intensely spicy. Few minutes after it settles down into this sweet, spicy, green and woody scent that is addictively good. Tried BR540 and also Spirito Fiorentino. I can agree with some that it has that similar-ish kinda DNA to it but I would pick Kalan 10 out of 10 times among the three.
