Xerjoff Erba Pura (Review): You’ve Been Lied To
Xerjoff Erba Pura is a fragrance released in 2019. It’s become widely known for its fruity and upbeat aroma. However, there’s been controversy about how appropriate it is for men. Some critics say it’s too sweet for guys to pull off. However, I’ve personally tested this a lot lately and become obsessed. It’s a great option for men and the haters can kick rocks. Read on for my full breakdown.
What does Xerjoff Erba Pura smell like?
The first time I saw Erba Pura’s scent profile I salivated. And I’m only slightly exaggerating. The notes include orange, bergamot, lemon, fruits, musk, Madagascan vanilla, and amber.
On initial spray it smells bright and positive. Firstly, the trio of citruses arrive, giving off vibrancy and freshness. However, the tangy, zesty orange is most noticeable.
Then there’s sweet mango that elicits a tropical, juicy feel. I notice it smoothing out the citruses, despite the fact it’s not even listed as a note!
Afterwards, the scent develops. For starters, the early citruses withdraw. Then, a diverse array of fruity intensity replaces them, comprising more than just mango.
Additionally, the sweetness of the Madagascan vanilla slowly comes to the forefront. If you aren’t aware, vanilla from Madagascar is some of the richest and creamiest in the world.
Its deliciousness is also akin to scents like MFK Baccarat Rouge and Tom Ford Lost Cherry.
Finally, the dry down brings further change. The fruits and vanilla continue to resonate. However, they’re draped in a veil of musk and amber. This new duo deepens yet softens that earlier intensity.
In summary, Xerjoff Erba Pura smells like a sweet, fresh fruity scent that becomes creamier and muskier once it dries down. It’s a mouthwatering and lustrous mix, evoking instant joy when I smell it wafting in the air.
Men, if you enjoy sweet scents then Erba Pura is right up your alley. It doesn’t possess the distinct masculine lean like Xerjoff Naxos. To me, it smells entirely unisex. Thus, ensure you keep this one under lock and key. Your girl will make it hers if you don’t.

How does it perform?
Xerjoff never miss when it comes to performance. Erba Pura is no exception.
Specifically, it lasts for a whopping 14 hours on my skin. It projects moderately out for the first 5 of those.
You’ll get even greater sillage and longevity if you’re spraying in the heat.
When can you wear it?
Erba Pura is perfect for casual outings and social events with friends. It’s also a fun choice for relaxing tropical holidays. Additionally, its easy-going nature works wonders for daytime dates.
Also wear it to more laid-back special events, like beachside weddings. However, it’s too potent to spray during formal indoor circumstances.
Seasonally, it’s appropriate for spring, autumn, and summer. This is one of the few sweet scents I actually recommend for warmer weather. Moreover, it can be worn in winter but I prefer something cozy like Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee.

Erba Pura is playful and fun-loving but never veers into obnoxious territory. Everything I hoped for from such a dazzling turquoise bottle.
