rasasi hawas fire

I blind bought Rasasi Hawas Fire. Here’s my review.

Rasasi Hawas Fire, launched in 2025, is a surprising twist in the Hawas lineup. I found out the risky way after I blind bought it. Expecting something warm and spicy, I was stunned when it turned out to be completely different. This unexpected development also caught the attention of fragrance enthusiasts everywhere. Curious? Give me two minutes, and I’ll explain.

The smell of Hawas Fire surprised me.

When I first smelled this, I was shocked. The name, the crimson bottle colour, everything implied this would be a flaming warm spicy aroma. Not the case. Rasasi’s done a god damn number on us.

Firstly, let’s canvass the notes. Hawas Fire contains sage, a sweet fruity note, marine notes, mineral notes, amber, and musk.

Now to describe how it smells.

The opening: Fire begins invigorating and aromatic. You’ll smell a dose of slightly herbaceous sage combined with a pronounced sweet note. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what the sweetness is. It’s not a sickly vanilla bomb and it’s not a synthetic amber mess. I’d compare it closest to the fruity apple in Hawas Ice.

The mid: As the scent settles, so does the sweetness. It allows more of the fresh, bracing properties of sage to shine through. Additionally, the sage combines with intensely brisk marine and mineral notes. Also, the glacial texture of those minerals is very apparent. A big departure from past Hawas flankers.

The dry down: Here it smells like a softer, more serene rendition of the mid. The sweetness and sage settle down further. Thereafter it’s a mineral, amber, and musky smell.

If this sounds interesting, also check out Gissah Imperial Valley. Which is a pretty close counterpart. I’ve been told JPG Scandal Intense and Reef 33 also have some similarities.

What are others saying?

Here’s two reviews from over at Fragrantica:

This is great fragrance. I’m not sure why it’s getting hate. This smells VERY unique, has a sweetness, woodiness, freshness, and has great performance. It has a modern sweetness without being too sweet.

Aquatic, fruity, and extremely fresh. This is it own thing and not a clone. This is very easy going and likeable to me. I am very pleasantly surprised. 8.5/10

Sneaky versatile and strong.

The ‘Fire’ label is a bit misleading. Hell, it’s very misleading. Everything about this it indicates it’s purpose-built solely for cooler conditions. Nope.

Hawas Fire offers an aromatic, amber-rich depth that easily cuts through the cold – that’s true. However, it doesn’t stop there – the intensely fresh notes make it solid for application in warmer climates too.

Fire is unique yet inoffensive and safe. Therefore, it’s suitable for several occasions – casual and social settings, the office, or relaxed daytime dates.

The way it transcends seasons reminds me of Versace Eros Flame. Way different smell but similar range.

Now onto performance. Followers of the Rasasi Hawas line will not be disappointed. Hawas Fire continues the potency of past releases.

On my skin this projects for 5 hours and sits closer for another 7. So, expect around 12 hours of total longevity. No need to overspray here fellas.

Final thoughts on Rasasi Hawas Fire

In summary, I’ve finally had a blind buy go right. I didn’t know a damn thing about Hawas Fire when I bought it and by some miracle it worked out.

Fire is a uniquely fresh fragrance with deeper tones mixed within. The opening is sweet and aromatic, before mineral notes introduce a refreshing texture. Then, it simmers into an attractive, musky base.

This is undeniably my favourite Hawas release yet. Considering how much I love this brand that’s a huge declaration.

Try it for yourself and let me know once you do.
