5 Versace Colognes You MUST Try [Listed]

Can’t decide which Versace cologne for men to buy this year? In today’s article, we’re going to cover the Top 5 colognes from Versace, starting at #5 and working down to my favourite at #1!

I’ve worn all 5 of these Versace colognes on many occasions and have settled on my view. I’ve ranked this list by considering everything – the smell, versatility, performance, and price of all 5 of these fragrances. So without further ado gents, let’s see how each of them ranked!

5. Versace Pour Homme

The original Versace Pour Homme comes in at #5 on my top Versace cologne list. Pour Homme has been popular for a extended period of time and for good reason!

When I first spray it on skin, I get very fresh citrus notes from the lemon, bergamot and neroli. When it dries down, I start to smell a bit more density with the tonka bean, musk and cedarwood.

However, when it dries, it stays fresh and doesn’t get too sweet. It’s a very enjoyable mix which won’t offend anyone.

In my opinion, this is the most versatile Versace cologne on this list. It’s truly a scent you can wear all year round, including the hottest and coldest days. It’s great for casual events, dates, gym, or the office.

As for longevity, I find it projects from my skin for the first 3 hours, then remains on my skin for another 3 or so.

Versace Pour Homme Eau de Toilette is one of the most mass appealing Versace colognes for men. It’s an Eau de Toilette (EDT) concentration and one of the cheapest options on the list.

It’s an extremely safe choice and an easy reach cologne for pretty much any situation.

4. Versace Man Eau Fraiche

Versace Man Eau Fraiche comes in at number 4 on my list of Versace cologne for men.

Versace Man Eau Fraiche

When it’s first sprayed on the skin, I can smell a zesty burst of lemon and bergamot.

Where this cologne really shines is when it dries on your skin. The cedarwood, cardamom, musk and pepper notes become more prominent and give it a smooth, mature vibe.

This is a fresh, mass appealing fragrance for warm and moderate weather. Therefore, it’s pretty versatile. As for performance, Man Eau Fraiche projects from the skin for the first hour, then becomes a skin scent for a couple more.

The unique bottle design helps it stand out from the rest of the Versace cologne line. Versace Man Eau Fraiche is an EDT concentration and is the cheapest option on this list.

All things considered, Versace Man Eau Fraiche is an amazingly fresh & classy woody aquatic scent for a great price. If you are on a tight budget, I’d recommend you give it a go.

3. Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir

If I had one word to describe this cologne, it would be indulgent. Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir comes in at #3 on this list, and this Versace cologne is the most obscure on the list.

Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir

Oud Noir opens with a hit of oud, along with notes of saffron, pepper and cardamom. It’s spicy and oriental, giving off an earthy smell thanks to the woods and patchouli . These notes combine to give it a mysterious vibe that smells expensive.

Versace Oud Noir is often compared to the much pricier Tom Ford Oud Wood. While I do agree, Oud Noir is a touch sweeter and more rugged (not a bad thing!).

This Versace cologne is not as versatile as others on this list. However, it’s perfect for cooler weather.

Oud Noir has quiet performance. It projects out from the skin for the first 2 hours after spray, then sits closer to the skin for the next 3 hours.

When worn in the right situation, Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir can be a masculine, mysterious game changer. Therefore, if you want to stand out from the crowd and give off bad boy energy, give this one a go.

2. Versace Dylan Blue

Versace Dylan Blue comes in at #2 on my list of Versace cologne for men. If I had to describe Dylan Blue in a phrase I’d use ‘expensive shower gel’.

Versace Dylan Blue

Now don’t get me wrong, that is not an insult. I love the scent of this cologne. When I first smell it, it projects grapefruit, ambroxan, and other citrus notes. In some ways, it reminds me of Dior Sauvage.

Then I pick up aquatic notes, along with incense and pepper. The citrus fades pretty quickly when the fragrance dries on skin, but the remaining notes stay.

This type of scent will be familiar with many, as it does have a resemblance to expensive shower gels. While this makes it mass appealing, don’t be fooled – there are deeper and richer qualities here than a shower gel could ever provide. Other notes I pick up include tonka bean sweetness, saffron and violet leaf.

Another ultra-versatile Versace scent, this one performs for many occasions, from hot weather to cold. Therefore, you have plenty of choices.

I’d rank Dylan Blue’s performance in the same ballpark as Oud Noir and Versace Pour Homme. I get about 3 hours of projection from the skin before it becomes just a skin scent for another 5 hours or so.

Versace Dylan Blue fits the mould of other Versace colognes on this list as versatile and mass appealing at a good price. I love the deep mystifying vibe of this cologne, and it was very close to being #1.

1. Versace Eros

My #1 might be no surprise to you. Most recognisable as the clubbing king, Versace Eros tops my list of Versace cologne for men this year.

eros versace cologne for men

Although Eros is phenomenal for clubbing, there is so much more to this cologne that separates it from the rest of Versace’s offerings for men.

Versace Eros is a fresh, aromatic sweet green scent. When I spray it on my skin, I immediately get a fresh burst of mint, apple and lemon. As it starts to dry down a little I get tonka bean, vanilla, woods, and ambroxan notes projecting through.

This cologne is best for a man under 35 who is confident and doesn’t shy away from who he is. It’s a very distinctive scent and will announce your presence in a room.

As mentioned, Eros is much more than a clubbing scent. You can wear this in any casual occasion, on a date or other events. Additionally, Versace Eros is by far the best performer on this list. There’s a reason people recommend it for clubbing – when you’re in a venue amongst a bunch of other people, this scent will turn heads.

It projects loudly from the skin for the first few hours, then lasts on the skin for another 6-8 hours more.

Versace Eros Eau de Toilette is such a delicious scent. It’s a sweet, playful cologne that will get you a lot of attention. Given it falls into the same price bracket as Dylan Blue, the performance and wow factor push Eros into the #1 spot.

But don’t take my word for it – look at the thousands of positive reviews on Amazon.
