Mugler Cologne for Men: 5 Ranked in 2024 [Listed]
Mugler is a fragrance designer house that creates playful and mass-appealing colognes for men . In today’s article, I’m going to review my BEST 5 Mugler Cologne, with my favourite making an appearance at #1.
I’ve worn these colognes frequently, and compared them to the rest of the Mugler range. In my view, these are the best from the house. Let’s have a look.
5. Mugler A*Men
Coming in at the #5 spot on the Mugler cologne list is the classic and original Mugler A*Men.
Mugler A*Men is described as an oriental woody fragrance and has an amazing scent profile. It contains notes of lavender, mint, fruit, citrus, caramel, honey, cedar, coffee, vanilla, sandalwood, jasmine, amber and musk.
On first spray, I can immediately smell the spicy and fruit notes including the lavender, mint, and citrus. Then, the underlying sweet and gourmand notes come to the surface, including the caramel, honey, vanilla and amber.
The performance of A*Men is excellent. This scent projects out from my skin for 8 hours, and I can still smell it on my skin 24 hours later. It’s an absolute beast.
Mugler A*Men balances fresh, spicy and citrus notes extremely well with sweet accords. This fragrance just gets better the longer you leave it on your skin, it’s something magical. Therefore, I think it’s an excellent cologne choice this year.

4. Mugler Alien Man
The flirtatious and curious fragrance Alien Man makes its way into the #4 spot on my Mugler cologne list.
Alien Man contains notes of mint, lavender, beech, leather, pepper, cashmere, geranium, amber, and vanilla.
When I first spray this one on my skin, I get dark and mysterious yet fresh vibes thanks to the mint, lavender, geranium. It also contains a few other herbal accords I can subtly smell.
Then, once it dries, it becomes more complex, with the woody, leather, amber, and smoky elements coming into play.
I get fantastic performance out of Alien Man. It lasts at least 8 hours on my skin and projects out for several of those hours.
Mugler has balanced complexity and freshness really well with Alien Man. Additionally, it’s a unique versatile fragrance that will certainly get people to ask what you’re wearing.

3. Mugler Cologne
Gentlemanly and classy, Mugler Cologne comes in half way down at #3 of my best Mugler cologne for men.
This iconic, classic scent is one that shot the brand of Mugler to stardom. It’s best known as a citrus-based scent, containing notes of bergamot, neroli, petitgrain, African orange flower, and musk.
Moreover, I get some zingy vibes from the citrus notes which are balanced excellently with the underlying musk.
Mugler cologne is very consistent and won’t change much on your skin. Additionally, I get pretty good projection and longevity off my skin from this fragrance.
It’s great in both hot and cold weather. It’s safe, enjoyable, and very mass-appealing. Furthermore, it’ll never go out of fashion.

2. Mugler Pure Malt
Mugler Pure Malt comes in at #2 of the best Mugler cologne available for men!
Pure Malt is one of the most popular offerings from Mugler and for good reason. It contains notes of fruit, malt, orange, whiskey, bergamot, coffee, cedar, vanilla, amber, and musk.
When I first spray this cologne on my skin, I pick up the whiskey, fruit, and malt notes. Then once it starts to dry, the coffee, amber, and vanilla become much more prominent.
This mature and playful scent gives me great performance, I get a scent trail about 6 feet around me. Furthermore, I get several hours of good performance out of Pure Malt.
This fragrance is excellent for casual gatherings, outdoors, clubbing, dates and catching up with friends. Undoubtedly, it’s applicable across a wide range of situations in my book.
It was neck and neck between Pure Malt and my #1 fragrance on this list. Therefore, if you like your boozy, fruity scents, this one is absolutely for you!

1. Mugler Pure Havane
Coming in at #1 is my absolute favourite Mugler men’s fragrance, Pure Havane!
Pure Havane is best known as an oriental vanilla fragrance. It contains notes of tobacco, honey, vanilla, cacao, amber, and patchouli, among others. Therefore, as you probably guessed, this cologne smells absolutely delicious.
What impresses me most is how Mugler has made such a delicious fragrance smell masculine, too. To my nose, this is mostly due to the prominent tobacco note which develops alongside the vanilla throughout the life of the fragrance.
The other notes complement the tobacco so well and help it embody a honey, cherry tobacco-like smell. It’s very unique and I doubt you’ve smelt anything like it before!

Unquestionably, I get great performance out of Pure Havane. I find it lasts about 8 hours on me, and even longer on clothes.
This scent is also known as a cheaper alternative to the niche fragrance Xerjoff Naxos. It’s less than half the price of Naxos and smells very similar, not bad if you ask me.
Simply put, I really enjoy this cologne and it lives up to the hype from the fragrance community. Pure Havane is undeniably my first choice from Thierry Mugler this year. My friend John thinks so too – check out his review here.
