Bentley for Men Intense (review): Still Wearable Today?

Bentley for Men Intense is a uniquely boozy cologne from the car brand Bentley. I think it’s a great buy this year and I can’t see that changing anytime soon. For the next few minutes I’ll give you my honest opinion why I think that’s the case.

Cologne Notes

The main accords I pick out of this fragrance include rum, pepper, bergamot, leather, incense, benzoin, and cedar.

How Does Bentley for Men Intense Smell?

The first thing I smell when I spray this on skin is the rum. The rum is distinctly robust and has an element of subtle warm sweetness about it.

The rum is supplemented by a subtle yet spicy pepper accord and zesty bergamot in the background to provide some balance.

Bentley for Men Intense really shines when it dries on skin. The rum slightly subsides and makes way for darker, mature accords. These include leather, incense, benzoin and cedar.

The leather and cedar add a nice creamy characteristic to the fragrance which exudes a sense of sophisticated depth.

Overall, rum is the prominent note throughout the life of the scent. It’s an undeniably boozy scent that exudes a masculine quality from beginning to end.

For a designer scent, Bentley for Men Intense smells expensive and high quality. Additionally, the compliment factor is large because it leaves an incredible scent trail in the air.

Longevity and Projection

This intoxicating scent lasts about 6-8 hours on my skin. It projects out moderately from skin, and honestly you wouldn’t want a scent like this to project any further. Furthermore, it will last 24 hours+ on clothes so be aware if you take that route.

Occasions and Versatility

This is a great cold season fragrance, and for cooler summer nights. It’s not really restrictive to any certain occasion, however I couldn’t see a man under age 25 successfully pulling this off. Bentley for Men Intense is better suited to a mature, well-dressed man.
