Angels’ Share Paradis: Here’s what you need to know (review)

In 2025, Kilian dropped Angels’ Share Paradis – an addictive sequel to their iconic Angels’ Share. People have been bashing the doors down for a flanker for 5 years, and here it is. Paradis turns the original’s cosy, spiced booziness into a fresher, fruit-laced and woodier experience. Some critics have come out strong and called it completely redundant. However, I firmly disagree. Paradis doesn’t lightly tweak the formula – it elevates it. Here’s why I think it’s fantastic

Here’s how Angels’ Share Paradis smells.

The notes in Angels’ Share Paradis are raspberry, cognac, liquor, tonka, oakmoss, oak, praline, and sandalwood.

Opening:
It opens with a realistic raspberry accord that smells juicy, sweet, and syrupy. To me it’s very reminiscent of a rich fruit liqueur. This is the first big alteration made specifically for Paradis.

The cognac and liquor notes follow closely, adding a bright, rich, and slightly spicy boozy warmth to the fragrance.

Mid:
As it settles, the raspberry softens and gradually steps back. A nutty tonka bean sweetness emerges, giving the scent a rounded, gourmand feel. Then, oakmoss adds an earthy undertone that balances the sweetness.

Dry Down:
In the dry down, the oak note becomes the centerpiece. It’s so authentic that it evokes the image of an expensive oak barrel – think of one that’s aging spirits in a luxurious cellar. The oak is the second big change from the OG, providing structure and depth.

Praline layers on top with an indulgent, caramelised sugary sweetness. Whilst sandalwood introduces a creamy, calming touch that softens the overall composition.

Paradis and the OG Angels’ Share possess the same foundational boozy, gourmand DNA. However, Paradis is more fruit-forward and vibrant in the beginning, and leans more into oaken woody territory as it dries.

The OG is spicier, cosy and more dessert-like in character. It’s laced with cinnamon and vanilla, which makes it smell more comforting to my nose.

Wow. Wow. Wow. This is a boozier, sweeter, smoother, more “fun” version of Angels’ Share. I love the OG, but this version makes my mouth water. It’s like the original but perfected.

A more masculine and fruity alternative to the classic angel’s share. The price point is stupid. Otherwise, I prefer this one over the incredible OG version.

The performance and versatility.

The performance of Paradis is absolutely bonkers.

On me skin it projects strongly for 8 hours, then softens for at least another 4. That’s a solid 12 hours of longevity, easily doubled if you spray on clothes. Insane.

As for versatility – I wouldn’t call Angels’ Share Paradis versatile. But, it dominates in the right settings. Spray it when you want to smell inviting and seductive – perfect for date nights at rooftop bars or speakeasies, where its intoxicating scent bubble will pull people in.

It also shines at special events like weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays. Paradis oozes class but still feels playful and fun. Also, I’ve been loving it as a less muscular alternative to my night-out beast, PDM Carlisle.

Paradis thrives in cooler weather. It’s been my go-to during the Aussie winter, wrapping me in a warm, flirty embrace. It holds up in mild temperatures too – just avoid it on hot, humid days.

Paradis isn’t just a rehash of Angels’ Share – it’s an evolution.

It keeps that addictive boozy-gourmand heart but flips the script with a juicy raspberry pop and a rich oak-barrel backbone. Where the original feels like a warm cinnamon dessert, Paradis is a refined, fruit-soaked tryst. It’s fresher, more dynamic, and undeniably seductive. For anyone who loves the OG but craves a vibrant, woodier edge, Paradis is your answer.
